famous Terraplas®

the early 1990's at Wembley Stadium - the world's busiest stadium

In the intervening years, Terraplas®
has been taken up by
stadiums all over the world, and now over half a million square metres have been sold globally. Find

In the mid-90's Terraplas plc realised that there was not a
plastic product specifically designed for Ice Arena use. Two years
of market research followed to find out exactly what the
requirements were, followed by three years developing and
patenting the product that was to be called 'Terracover®'. After
rigorous testing, production and delivery of the first system was
to the London Arena in February 2000. Since this time it has been
sold in the UK, Europe, USA and Russia. Find

Although originally designed for ice arenas, Terracover® is
now also used in larger, indoor/domed arenas fitted with
artificial turf, such as the 40,000+ seat Tropicana Field in St.
Petersburg, Florida, USA. The FieldTurf floor needs protection
when the arena is holding a whole host of non-sporting events, as
opposed to its usual baseball. Other FieldTurf users with domed Stadiums have since become Terracover users, namely, the Georgia Dome, Ford Field,
RCA Dome, BC Place & the HHH Metrodome.
